Gone Fishing // Blogroll

One of the best things about FIRE (financial independence retire early) or FIRO (financial independence retirement optional) is you have more choices what you want to do with your time.

Over the last few years I have been semi retired keeping one foot (and pay cheque) in the working world while every so often I have taken on fun projects like starting this blog, renovating the house, landscaping friends houses etc.

In the next several weeks, I have taken on another project at work, as well as a trip to a remote location on BC west coast.

Not to be a braggart, (ok I am) but one project is a working vacation to a world-famous fishing lodge on Vancouver Island, and yes salmon fishing is part of the deal.  Since I am not here to tend to the blog I have put up this blogroll so you will always have awesome stuff to read within the FIRE community.  (If you’re a financial blog and want to be on the blogroll please shoot me a comment and I will add you).

  1. Thanks for the mention Steve! I was just on the island crabbing! After 8-10 hours we caught one crab. 🙁

Have a great time and enjoy your fishing lodge adventure, would love to see your ‘fishing haul’!!

    • HI GYM, I had a great time and lots of fish. I did read your post crabbing in sooke but I only brought my cell phone with me so I was only reading and not commenting on any blogs. Sounds like you had a fun time.
